The Mentalist began shooting its final episode on Wednesday.

Titled "White Orchids," the installment will mark the 13th episode of the season and the capstone of The Mentalist's 7-year run.

"I'm on set in less than 12 hours starting to film the last episode," tweeted actor Tim Kang (Cho) on Tuesday. "Weird after 7 years."

The Mentalist is planning to close the season with a supersized finale, airing both "White Orchids" and "Brown Shag Carpet" on the same night. Episodes 12 and 13 will be distinctly separate, but they will both deal with the FBI's latest serial killer.

An exterminator by day, Lazarus' desire to kill will extend well beyond the realm of mice and termites, according to TV Line. The newcomer's psychopathic tendencies and murderous habits will land him on the FBI's radar, giving long time Mentalist fans one last thrilling chase.

Set photos from Kang indicate that "White Orchids" will place the team at a ranch, but no one will be ready to roll up their sleeves and play cowboy. Instead, the extras appear to be dressed to the nines. Is this formal occasion hosted by a member of Patrick Jane's (Simon Baker) team, or is it merely a piece of the Lazarus mystery?
