Actor Jean-Claude Van Damme probably didn't expect his nearly 20-year-old affair to resurface before Friday's debut of "Expendables 2." 

Van Damme confessed, in an interview with The Guardian, that he had cheated on his then-wife Darcy LaPier with his "Streetfighter" co-star Kylie Minogue.The affair happened in 1994 while the duo was filming in Thailand. 

At first, when questioned about the affair he remained aloof. "I tell you what, you should ask her," he told The Guardian. "She'll have a better memory. I'm 51 years old, do you know how much I was punched in the face on The Expendables? No, no. No. And let's just say it happened, so what? Who wants to know?" 

With a little push from the press, Van Damme admittted to the affair. "OK. Yes, yes, yes. It happened. I was in Thailand, we had an affair," he said. LaPier and Van Damme divorced in 1997, according to US Weekly. 

Then, Van Damme began to gush and provided details of their rendevouz explaining that he did not regret his infidelity. "Sweet kiss, beautiful lovemaking," he said of Minogue. "It would be abnormal not to have had an affair, she's so beautiful and she was there in front of me every day with a beautiful smile, simpatico, so charming, she wasn't acting like a big star. I knew Thailand very well, so I showed her my Thailand. She's a great lady." 

Minogue has yet to comment on Van Damme's statements. 

Van Damme has been married to Gladys Portugues since 1999. US Weekly reported that the couple actually divorced in 1992, but reconciled after Van Damme's split with LaPier.

According to US Weekly, Minogue has never been married, but is now dating Spanish model Andres Velencoso after her five-year relationship with French actor Oliver Martinez.
