On Friday, Jolie released a video explaining why she would be unable to attend the event, and while she may be sick, she still looks as gorgeous as ever.

"I just want to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the Unbroken events in the next few days,' the actress said. "I found out last night that I have chickenpox. I will be home, itching and missing everyone. I can't believe it cause this film means so much to me... I just can't believe it, but such is life. There it is."

According to Today, the chickenpox is a very serious illness for adults who are 50 years old and older.

"It can cause complications that range from pneumonia to toxic shock syndrome, and Jolie's now at risk of shingles, a painful and hard-to-treat recurrence of the virus."

While this disease may bring back childhood memories of children itching uncontrollably and being drenched calamine, the site adds that this is no laughing matter for adults.

Fans around the world are wishing the actress the absolute best, and they hope that she gets better very soon.
