While casting is still underway for the next installment in the X-Men series, it seems like another young actress could be joining the ranks in a famous role. Is she the perfect fit to take over this character?

'Deadpool' Could Include A Number Of Original 'X-Men' Characters To Bridge The Franchises

MoviePilot reported a rumor last week that Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham could be eyed for the role of Storm in X-Men: Apocalypse. The actress was last seen this year in Addicted.

The site notes her acting in the Vampire Diaries as the reason she would be a great fit for the role saying that her character in the television series has prepared her to fit the role of Storm perfectly.

A Fan-Favorite From The 'X-Men' Franchise Won't Be In 'Apocalypse'

Graham does fit the bill of actresses that director Bryan Singer and writer Simon Kinberg are looking for as they are eyeing up and coming actors to join the cast as Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm. While she doesn't have an extensive film resume, she could work out to be like this film's version of Evan Peters, who was the breakout star of the last movie.

Graham joins Chloe Grace Moretz, Elle Fanning, and Hailee Steinfeld as other actresses rumored for roles in the upcoming film. Lupita Nyong'o has also been a name that fans have clamored for with the role of Storm.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to bring back Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Evan Peters and Nicholas Hoult with Hugh Jackman possibly joining as Wolverine. The film is expected to hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
