She's been hinting that she's committed to removing negative influences in her life, but Amanda Bynes may now be trying to prove she's working on a professional comeback as well.

Is Amanda Bynes Blaming Her Troubles On Being In Love?

The former child star and actress took to Twitter again Dec. 16 after nearly a week of silence and seemed to be identifying with another star who had a public breakdown in recent years but managed to emerge stronger and better than before afterwards-Britney Spears.

"I'm Britney Spears," Bynes wrote.

Amanda Bynes Attacks Her Haters On Twitter

While some have speculated that the tweet could be another hint that the former actress is potentially poised for another temporary fall from grace, many are wondering if the 28-year-old is comparing herself to the 33-year-old singer, who famously had a meltdown that involved her shaving her head, losing custody of her sons and also being placed in a conservatorship back in 2007.

Bynes has had her own fair share of problems in recent years, plagued with car accidents, drug charges and a very public Twitter meltdown. After setting a small fire in a driveway in July 2013, she was placed in an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold, and was released into a conservatorship with her parents in December. She briefly appeared to be spiraling into another similar situation earlier this fall following an arrest for DUI in September and a brief stay under another psychiatric hold, though she was released in October.

E! News has noted some of the similarities between the two, especially following Bynes' Dec. 6 tweet which showed her baring her toned midriff-which Spears also did recently on the cover of Women's Health.

Considering Spears has proven she has put her past behind her-she has since regained custody over her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline and found renewed success as a singer-Bynes may be hinting she is poised for a comeback as well. Her last film was the role of Marianne in the hit Emma Stone comedy Easy A.
