The Blacklist's Harold Cooper will move into the spotlight in the second half of season 2.

'Ticking Clock' On 'The Blacklist' Fulcrum Mystery, When Will Truth Be Revealed?

After nearly losing his life during Berlin's (Peter Stormare) season 1 onslaught, Cooper (Harry Lennix) received a grim diagnosis when The Blacklist returned last fall. Now that Berlin is out of the picture, Copper's medical problems will come to the fore following the Super Bowl midseason premiere.

"What it means for him, what it means for his family and what it means for his relationship with Red and the task force will all be featured in the back half of the season," executive producer Jon Bokenkamp explained to TV Line.

However, Cooper's health will undoubtedly take a backseat to the Fulcrum storyline. The mysterious organization/object was first mentioned in "The Decembrist," and it looks like Finch's final confession will become Red (James Spader) and Liz's (Megan Boone) new Berlin. Set to play a major role in Feb. 1's "Robert Grady" and Feb. 5's "Luther Braxton," the mystery of the Fulcrum will be uncovered by at least one character by the end of the Thursday episode, according to Spoiler TV.
