The site also managed to get video footage of the event, in which Brown is on stage having a good time singing and then suddenly the crowd focuses on one side of the stage, which Brown's attention is focused on too. An altercation seems to be breaking out and loud pops that sound like gunshots begin to ring as the music is cut off and the audience begins to hit the floor or stampede to evacuate the club.

Brown even panicked on stage. He jumps a little and flinches as the first shots are heard and his handlers grab him and guide him to safety.

TMZ further reported several people were detained, but it is unclear if any arrests were made.

Mercury News reported on Sunday that Brown tweeted "I'm 100," to let his 13.9 million followers know he was okay, but that tweet was later deleted.

The singer seemed to move on just fine from the situation since he performed in San Diego Sunday night. He even tweeted, "San Diego tonight!" with an emoji wearing sunglasses.

FOX 5 San Diego reported Sunday that security presence was increased as a result of the gunshots that rang out at his San Jose gig.
