Reality star Audrina Patridge is taking on 2015 with a wild new hair color that is sure to gain her some attention.

On Monday, The Hills star posted a car selfie on her Instagram page where her hair has some purple and silver shades in it, making her look more unique. Based on the caption she added, Patridge is not in a place where other peoples' opinions on her hair are going to get to her.

"New hair don't care #champagnesilver #dustyviolet #change #2015," she wrote.

Patridge is usually a brunette although she has added some highlights here and there.

In the 29-year-old's website, her stylist Briana Cisneros gave some details on how the process was done, which was a pretty time consuming process.

"I lifted Audrina from a level 6 brunette to a level 9 & 10 blonde using a blonding powder with olaplex to protect her hair during processing," Cisneros said. "Using a heavy foiling technique in combination with free hand painted balayage throughout the hair. We toned her entire head with an icy steel toner before our second color application."

The site shows some pictures of Patridge's lengthy hair change with the foil in her hair and how those results came about.

"We melted together smokey pastel silver, with a champagne blonde and light powdery lilac," the stylist continued. "We used color tones to complement Audrina's olive base skin tone. The color is for the dedicated and not for the faint of heart. It takes 8 hours in the salon, along with home care and revisiting the salon for upkeep."
