Katy Perry and her on-again, off-again boyfriend John Mayer are reportedly back together.

After taking some time off, following reports of an engagement, the singers have been spending tons of time together in Los Angeles, and according to a couple of sources, they couldn't be happier.

"They are in love," a Perry insider told People Magazine on Thursday. "They missed each other."

According to reports, Perry and Mayer reunited earlier this month in Beverly Hills, Calif., where they were reportedly seen enjoying a meal. Days later, it was alleged the two had a sleepover in Los Angeles after spending some time with mutual friends.

Most recently, as reported by People, Perry and Mayer enjoyed a double date with Allison Williams and fiancé Rick Van Veen at celebrity hot spot Chateau Marmont. During dinner, the pair reportedly held hands and shared a few kisses.

"They seem very happy about being back together again," said a second source, who claimed Perry and Mayer have always had great chemistry with one another. 

When they split, Perry's career, as well as the distance between them, was reportedly to blame, but this time around, the couple are prepared for the hardships they may face.

As the source explained, "They have to make time for each other and figure out how they can be together in a smooth relationship."

Perry and Mayer have dated on-and-off since the summer of 2012.
