LeAnn Rimes Rehab: Files Lawsuit Against Friends Of Brandi Glanville
LeAnn Rimes has recently filed a lawsuit against two women who supposedly recorded a conversation with her and then posted it on the web.
According to TMZ, the lawsuit was reportedly filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The singer stated that Lexi Smiley and Kimberly Smiley are both friends of Brandi Glanville, who is hubby Eddie Cibrian's former flame.
Rimes claims that she had contacted Kimberly in order to put a stop to the negative internet drama. However, the 30-year-old claims that the two had taped their interaction without her prior knowledge.
Larry Stein, the lawyer for Rimes, told the gossip site that she is willing to go to the police to get the individuals to blame for the recordings prosecuted.
The latest news comes right after the singer had reportedly entered a rehab facility on Aug. 29th for "anxiety and stress."
According to People, Rimes' representative Marcel Pariseau had recently confirmed those reports.
"LeAnn had voluntarily entered a 30 day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress. While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."
Rimes had spoken about her decision to seek the respective treatment, according to the site.
"This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be. All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I'm hoping they're not going to affect me as much. I'll have the tools to know how to deal with them."
Proud husband Cibrian gave his wife praise for her brave decision to check herself into rehab, according to the site.
"My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know. I am so proud of her for having the strength to finally take some time for herself. I will be with her every step of the way."
