Heidi Klum and Seal's divorce might be getting ugly in the courtroom, but Klum is staying classy with her comments about her soon-to-be ex.

"I cherish all of the great memories Seal and I created together over the years," the 39-year-old supermodel and TV host said to People magazine. "Our separation was based on issues between the two of us. Seal has moved on and so have I. My priority has and continues to be protecting and providing for our children."

The couple split in January after six years of marriage and they have three children together: 6-year-old Henry, 5-year-old Jonah and 2-year-old Lou. Seal adopted Klum's 8-year-old daughter, Leni.

Klum's statement came soon after a comment made by Seal - which he later clarified - concerning his estranged wife's relationship with her bodyguard of four years, with whom she was spotted displaying PDA with during a family vacation in Sardinia.

In an interview with TMZ, the singer said, "I certainly don't expect Heidi to all of a sudden become a nun. But as always my main priority is the emotional well-being of my children, and to be quite honest if there is going to be someone else there in their lives there, I would much rather it was a familiar face."

He then added, "That's the only thing I would have preferred. Whilst I didn't expect anything better from him [the bodyguard], I would of thought that Heidi would have shown a little more class and at least waited until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were."

Seal, 49, later clarified that he wasn't implying that Klum cheated on him before their January separation.

At the beginning of the divorce proceedings, they said they were determined to have an "amicable" separation.

"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much," they told People magazine in January. "Protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority."
