'Hawaii Five-0' Season 5 Spoilers: When Will Doris McGarrett Return? EP Teases Mother/Son Confrontation [VIDEO]
Steve McGarrett's mother won't make a Hawaii Five-0 apperaence in the near future.
Doris (Christine Lahti) dropped off the map once more in "La po'ino (Doomsday)" - possibly with a little help from Joe White (Terry O'Quinn) - and the CIA operative may not surface until much later in the season.
"It's funny because we're talking around her return," executive producer Peter Lenkov told Entertainment Weekly. "Terry O'Quinn's coming back, and the two episodes that he's in, there's a lot of talk about moms. So far, she's not planning to come back, but it's on the books; we just haven't set the date yet."

McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) is currently keeping close tabs on Mr. White, plainly in the hopes that his former mentor will lead him to his mother. The former Navy SEAL learned the truth about his mother's role in Wo Fat's (Mark Dacascos) life from the least likely source, and McGarrett is not particularly pleased.
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear as if Steve knows just what he will do when he does come face-to-face with his oft-absent mother. As Joe said, Steve could arrest her, but is that really the course of action he will take?
