Agents of SHIELD is inextricably tied into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a fact that bodes well for some SHIELD cameos in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

'Agent Carter' Finale: James D'Arcy Teases 'Intense' Twists, Importance Of Jarvis' New Clue

Marvel Studios is the Fort Knox of secrets, but that hasn't stopped fans from speculating about which Tuesday night characters could aid in the battle against Ultron. The latest of these rumors come from a Reddit user who claims Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), Skye/Daisy/Quake (Chloe Bennet), and Coulson (Clark Gregg) are slatted for a cameo in the May release.

"In Age of Ultron, cast of Agents Of SHIELD show up. May, Daisy, Coulson, etc.," teased the unknown informant behind the the_marvel_intern handle.

'Avengers 2' Release Date Pushed Forward, Find Out Who Will See 'Age Of Ultron' Early

Unfortunately, there is no way to confirm if the redditor's claim is even remotely true. As the new director of SHIELD, Coulson would be a prime candidate for a cameo. Unfortunately, the Avengers are unaware that Coulson is even alive and Gregg has only provided vague answers to questions regarding the new Joss Whedon film.

Set photos previously indicated that Agent Triplett (BJ Britt) may make an appearance, but that possibility appeared to sail out the window after Trip met an untimely demise during Skye's terragenesis.
