Dancing With the Stars show runner Rob Wade has spoken about judge Len Goodman's decision to leave the show in addition to any potential guest hosting for the new season.

'Dancing With the Stars' Season 20 Pro Dancers Announced Next Week On 'Good Morning America'?

Goodman rather publicly announced that season 20 would be his last season with Dancing With the Stars back in December. While fans were concerned that the grumpy but lovable judge would no longer be seen on their television screens beyond this spring, Wade recently spoke with People and said there's still an option for him to return.

"He says, 'Let's see how it goes,' " Wade revealed. "It depends on the health of his mother and how he feels personally about the travel. There's a good chance he might miss a lot of all next season, but I don't know though. I think there's a chance he'll decide to come back next spring when Dancing with the Stars in the U.K. is not going on."

Additionally, some fans really took to Leah Remini guest hosting last season in place of Erin Andrews, but Wade said that the new co-host isn't going anywhere.

"You can get away with having a guest host for one-offs, but there is a lot of business to this live hosting stuff that's kind of unique," he explained. "You need a person who has the ability to do that. It's pretty challenging, that job, and it's quite thankless. Leah did a great job, but you need a common denominator going though there."

Dancing With the Stars returns for season 20 on Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
