Agents of SHIELD will head into uncharted territory with "Epidemic."

The midseason premiere will pick up in the wake of December's devastating final - Trip's (BJ Britt) dead, Skye (Chloe Bennet) and Raina (Ruth Negga) each have new and mysterious powers, and Cal's (Kyle Maclachlan) in the wind. Coulson (Clark Gregg) will attempt to pick up the pieces, but danger will continue to brew in the background.

As Skye struggles to control her dangerous new abilities, Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) and Mac's (Henry Simmons) little side project will expose even bigger problems.

"Bobbi and Mack begin the next phase of a plan which seems to have grave repercussions for Coulson and his team, who are unaware that there's another mysterious force moving against them," ABC teased. "And as Hunter (Nick Blood) is forced to make the biggest choice of his life, Coulson will find his mission threatened by this shocking endgame."

Whatever Bobbi is up to, it will secure her place on the series for some time as Palicki is now a series regular.
