The murder trial against former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez is intensifying and prosecutors have found more evidence to tie Hernandez to the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Prosecutors Use Missing Texts From Aaron Hernandez's Phone As Evidence

On Thursday, new trafficking data shown to the jury puts Hernandez on the same route that prosecutors say he took the night Lloyd was shot.

ESPN reported that the data shows that the tracks from Hernandez's rented Nissan Altima could potentially be the evidence prosecutors need to tie him to the scene of the crime.

Officials Find Shell Casings That Could Tie Aaron Hernandez To The Murder Of Odin Lloyd

According to the site, a T-Mobile employee testified that the cell sites pinged Lloyd's phone starting at 2:32 a.m. when prosecutors believe he was picked up from his home.

Another ping was taken near the Massachusetts's turnpike at 2:53 a.m., where Hernandez's car was seen driving through a toll stop.

The cell service then went south, ending at the industrial park where Lloyd's body was discovered.

Based on their evidence, the prosecutors have concluded that Hernandez and his two friends Carlos Ortiz and Wallace, picked Lloyd up at his home in Boston, drove him to the industrial park, and shot him to death.

An employee at the rental car business testified that she found a shell casing under the driver's seat of the rented Nissan Altima, which was returned on the same day the killing occurred.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges, and he currently remains in jail without bail.
