The Vampire Diaries is still filming for its sixth season and they tend to do a bit of on location shoots from time to time, which they recently took part in once again.

Nina Dobrev, who stars as Elena Gilbert, was quick to share a bunch of pictures on Twitter from the on location shoot Wednesday.

The family that lives where they shot made the cast and crew "home made cake pops" and the best part is they are decorated to look like vampires.

"How cute is this!" Dobrev gushed.

She shared another picture of herself with one of the cake pops by her mouth and tweeted the pun, "Cake 'Bites'".

The TVD star also took a funny picture of herself with her costar Candice Accola, who portrays Caroline Forbes. It appears as if both actresses are donning vibrant dresses and the shoot looks to be outdoors.

Dobrev shared one last photo from the on location shoot of Accola as a scene is filmed.

The cast was on location Tuesday too and Accola shared a photo of the sky and part of a building they were shooting possibly in and around.

Catch The Vampire Diaries on Thursdays on The CW at 8 p.m. ET.

The series returns with new episodes starting April 16.
