Taryn Manning, the actress who was arrested for allegedly beating up her makeup artist friend will have the charges dropped against her.

Manning, who is best known for Playing Eminem's girlfriend in "8 Mile" and the late Johnny Lewis' girlfriend in "Sons of Anarchy," was charged for a misdemeanor assault for attacking her makeup artist friend and roommate Holly Hartman.

Manning's lawyer Joe Tacopina told TMZ that when they appeared in court on Oct. 12, he told the judge that Hartman did not want to press charges anymore.

Tacopina said Hartman and Manning "love each other very much and she wants this whole thing to just go away."

Tacopina said it was "a little misunderstanding" and described the incident as an altercation, not as an assault.

The two friends reportedly partied at the Dream Hotel in New York City where they became "very drunk." The late night partying became physical around 2 am. According to reports, Manning allegedly assaulted Hartman with a punch, kick her face and torso, and slammed her head against the floor and wall.

Manning was later arrested and spent more than 24 hours in jail before she was released. Now that Hartman wants to drop the charges against her friend, the District Attorney's office is unsure of what to do next. Manning's next court date is Nov. 13.

Manning and Hartman have been friends for 5 years. They are roommates, and Manning works as her makeup artist.
