The Vampire Diaries concluded its sixth season with a lot of shocks, sadness and uncertainty heading into season 7.

Caroline Plays A Part In Enzo's Decision Of Loyalty In Next Season Of 'The Vampire Diaries'?

While fans have to wait until fall rolls around to watch new episodes in the seventh season, Annie Wersching, who has come aboard to portray Lily Salvatore, mom to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley), recently shared some photos from on set during season 6 filming that she "never got around to posting" previously.

On Monday, the actress shared four photos that fans of the supernatural series have never peeped before!

Wersching gave a look inside filming a scene with Kat Graham (Bonnie).

She appears to have taken a photo of an Enzo (Michael Malarkey) double and Caroline (Candice Accola) double sitting inside a car on set.

Wersching shared a photo with Nina Dobrev from one of their most intense scenes together during season 6. It's when Lily tried to kill Elena.

She also shared a snap with one of her onscreen sons. She admitted to missing Wesley! Perhaps Wesley's character is Lily's favorite son.

Aside from these cool behind-the-scenes pictures courtesy of Wersching, TheWraprevealed on Thursday that her character would be back in the seventh season for a major recurring arc.

The seventh season will mark a new era for the series since Dobrev decided to end her time as the leading lady with the season 6 finale. This has allowed the series to shift focus more so onto the Salvatore brothers and their complicated family ties especially with that of their mother being back in the picture.

The series returns to The CW in the fall for season 7.
