A premiere date has been announced for the third season of The Originals!

Fans Can Expect Something 'Frightening' In 'The Originals' Season 3

Announced on TV Line on Wednesday, the supernatural series will return to The CW on Thursday, October 8 at 9 p.m. right after The Vampire Diaries.

In fact, TV Line previously spoke with Daniel Gillies, who plays Elijah, on the drama. When he was asked about his character's complicated relationship with his brother, Klaus, the actor pointed out how their chaos will likely reflect on some of the other characters.

Will Klaus & Elijah Repair Their Relationship On 'The Originals?'

"I think the show is going to circumnavigate itself around this desperate relationship between the brothers," Gillies said. "I think the rift between them is going to precipitate a whole lot of savagery and the fallout from that is where everybody scurries to."

The site also had the chance to speak with Charles Michael Davis (Marcel) whose character will be spending time with Freya now that she's free. According to the actor, it definitely sounds like Freya is going to have plenty to see.

"I'm going to be hanging out with Freya, showing her the bars and everything that's cool about New Orleans," Davis said. "She's been locked up for hundreds of years so I think that's going to be Marcel's number one priority."

Davis also revealed that he would like to see Marcel and Rebekah work things out in their relationship, but fans will have to wait till October 8 to find out what goes down that road.
