Jordan Spieth has been having a glorious year in tournaments although his games are not always perfect.

Jordan Spieth Kisses His Girlfriend On 'The Greatest Day' Of His Life

On Monday, USA Today caught up with the golfer who fell one shot short of a playoff in the British Open. He was one major shy as one of the few players to win the Masters, U.S. Open and British Open in the same year.

Despite barely making it, Spieth said he's still happy with the results.

Jordan Spieth Reveals Something That 'People Are Looking For, But Is Not There'

"Although we came in wanting to be two shots better than what we finished, with everything that went on this week and the momentum we came in with it, yeah, I'm very pleased with the way we battled," the golfer said. "Today was a really tough day. Just made a mental mistake on No. 8 and it seemed to have cost me as well on 18, just not giving myself a chance...I just wish I had given myself a little better opportunity."

While Spieth has been doing the best he can in his athletic abilities, one of the main things that scored him popularity is his girlfriend, Annie Verret. It's unclear if she was at the British Open to give support, but either way, she and her man tend to have memorable times together.

Really proud of @annie_verret on an extremely successful college career! #shesgoodlooking #morehairthanme
