Did Annie Verret Miss Jordan Spieth At The U.S. Open?

On Tuesday, CBS Sports shared an interview with Zach Johnson who won in a playoff at the tournament. It would seem like he might have awkward tension with Spieth, but as it turns out, the two seem to be great buddies. The site even showed an image of them hugging.

"There was some fantastic golf in major championship Monday, final round, that doesn't always happen," Johnson said. "There was some clutch playing by guys today, so I knew I needed to get another one on the back nine, which is not an easy place to try and steal one."

The two players also went on a guys' flight home together that sounded like a pretty happy memory.

"We actually flew home together last night," Johnson said. "It was...fun. It was interesting. We had a bunch of guys on the plane. Good friends- our sport may be odd. We try to beat other's heads in but when it comes down to it we're going to be the first to applaud and share in the moment."

Even though the guys seemed to have a nice flight, Johnson gave the impression that Spieth's girlfriend, Annie Verret, wasn't on the plane with them. It's unclear on why she wouldn't be there, but no one seems to know if she even attended the British Open or not.
