It's going to be an epic ride on America's Got Talent when the competition delivers more entertainment.

On Monday, a promo was released for the final 12 contestants who are making their way through more finals. In the video below, host Nick Cannon says it's going to be a "thriller" as audiences see more exciting acts.

The final 12 performers are Grace Vanderwaal, Malevo, Linkin' Bridge, Vello Vaher, The Passing Zone, Edgar, Kadan Bart Rockett, Julia Scotti, Ronee, Alla and Daniel, Blake Vogt and Brian Justin Crum.

This has been quite an amazing season for the series especially since Simon Cowell joined the judges' table. While he's known for his critical comments, he previously admitted to New York Times that he felt a little hesitant when he got to work.

"I was really confident until I sat in the chair and you kind of go, 'Oh God, this is a big show here.' I'm used to being on big shows, but I'm thinking, 'I really hope this is going to work.' And for about 10 seconds, I felt nervous," Cowell said. "And then this 83-year-old woman in a leotard came on and stood on her head and sang the national anthem and I said, 'You know what, I'm home.' And I never looked back."

One of the reasons why Cowell enjoys being part of this series is because it focuses on so many different types of performances instead of just one in particular.

"As much as I like being on a music show, it does get a bit tedious when it's just singer after singer after singer," he said. "On this show- and of course we get singers on there- it's that surprise factor where literally a box will appear on the stage and you don't know what's inside the box or what the act's going to be."

America's Got Talent returns on Tuesday, August 23 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
