Ex-husband of the late iconic singer Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes, as he faces his second drunk driving charge this year.

A Los Angeles police officer pulled the singer over in the Studio City area early Wednesday. According to CNN, the officer smelled "a strong scent of alcohol" when he approached Brown in his vehicle. This took place at the Ventura Boulevard traffic light where the on-duty officer prompted a field sobriety test.

Brown was immediately arrested after the test, under the suspicion of driving while drunk.

The 43-year-old singer made bail about seven hours later, police told CNN.

In August, Brown checked into a rehabilitating center for treatment "relating to alcohol use," his spokesman said at the time.

In April, the singer agreed to a 90-day treatment program after being arrested in Los Angeles County for driving with a blood alcohol content of .08%, CNN confirmed.

Houston's ex-husband was also sentenced to 36 months of probation, according to Tiffany Feder, his lawyer.

After his divorce from Houston in 2007, Brown married Alicia Etheridge, his manager in a ceremony in Hawaii in June. The couple dated for three years before getting engaged in 2010. They have a 3-year-old son, Cassius.

Cassius is not Browns only child, as he has one daughter, Bobbi Kristina, from his marriage with Houston, and three other kids.

The singer has been touring around with his group New Edition, this year.
