Kate Middleton might be a royal Duchess, but it looks like she has some skeletons in her family closet too. A recent report alleges that her mother Carole Middleton has been banned from attending royal events because she is an 'embarrassment' to the royal family all because she's oftentimes intoxicated after downing too many alcoholic beverages.

The Duchess Reportedly Thinks Prince Harry Should Do Her Husband's Job

According to Star Magazine on Friday, eyewitnesses hint that Carole has become a persona non grata after she was caught sneaking a drink during the Rugby World Cup in London earlier this month.

Sources close to the Middleton family says that "it seems to be happening a lot lately," while citing Carole's rough patch in her marriage to her husband Michael.

Things have reportedly gotten so bad that the Duchess is dreading the upcoming holiday season because she doesn't want to bring her mother to Kensington Palace but at the same time wants to spend Christmas with the Middletons, too.

An insider close to the situation explained, "It's a huge concern for Kate. She'll hide booze at her house, but her mom just brings her own."

The tipster added, "Last Christmas, Carole had had too much to drink and started telling totally inappropriate jokes. Kate was so humiliated that she finally had to drag her away. She told her mom if she doesn't straighten up, she'll be banned from all royal events."

So far, Kensington Palace has not made any comments about the report.
