Shannon Beador's husband's mistress, Nicole McMackin, continues to be a hot topic for the Real Housewives of Orange County star long after her eight-month affair with David.

On Facebook, after being accused of discussing the affair repeatedly in an effort to make some quick cash, the reality star and mother of three set the record straight.

"Wow. It's definitely not about a paycheck," Beador explained. "My husband [does] quite well for our family. It's about being real."

Beador then responded to a second fan, who claimed she placed all of the blame on McMackin after learning that one of her children was enrolled in a sports activity, which was coached by David.

"I never blamed only Nicole for putting her daughter on he basketball team. My husband was aware of it all," Beador wrote back to the fan. "I was upset that Nicole attempted to discuss my marital relationship with me."

Earlier this week, over one month after the Daily Mail revealed her identity, McMackin and her husband, Reed, spoke out for the first time.

"This has been an extremely trying time," Nicole and Reed said in a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight on Monday. "Nicole understands that she made a terrible mistake and there has been an incredible price paid by both families. We never have, nor will we ever seek out public attention about this very painful, private matter, and we are hoping that the Beadors, Bravo, and the other cast members will allow us and our children to live our lives in peace."
