Rumors swirled that Taylor Swift had an interest in getting romantically involved with Bradley Cooper but that the actor turned her down.

The Golden Globe nominated singer asked Jennifer Lawrence, 22, to introduce her to the actress' "Silver Linings Playbook" co-star, according to Radar Online. Fresh off her break up with One Direction's Harry Styles, the three of them were at the Golden Globes on Sunday where Swift, 23, reportedly asked Lawrence the question. However, Cooper, 38, said he was not interested in Swift and that she was too young for him.

Though a "source" told the gossip website that "Bradley has absolutely no intention of getting together with Taylor," Vanity Fair noted it is likely the whole incident never occurred.

"While Swift and Lawrence are both linked by 'The Hunger Games,' are they actual pals? Aside from one photo in which the pair shares matching blond side braids and bangs, our Internet search suggests 'no,' " the report said.

The publication questioned the reliability of Radar Online's sources, saying at times it sounded more like a publicist than a "pal," and added "we cannot possibly understand a world in which Taylor Swift asks the actress whom Bradley Cooper was rumored to be dating to set her up with Bradley Cooper."

Lawrence recently separated from her "X- Men: First Class" co-star Nichloas Hoult. The two met on the film's set and dated for two years. Cooper and his rumored flame, "Avatar" star Zoe Saldana, reportedly broke up for the second time just before the holidays. Rumors of Lawrence and Cooper were settled, however, when the actor told Entertainment Tonight "No, no, no, no, no. Not even close."

"First of all, I could be her father. No, I'm kidding. But no, not even close," he added. "We've done two movies together. If it didn't happen by now, it's not going to happen."
