People are not happy about Jared Fogle's plea deal.

The former Subway spokesman is currently looking at five to 12.5 years in prison for charges of pedophilia and child pornography. But citizens feel like he deserves to be in jail for much longer based upon letters obtained from TMZ on Wednesday.
People are writing to the judge telling her that Fogle deserves a bigger punishment for his scandal.

One citizen wrote, "Jared's plea deal is a disgrace. Jared Fogle victimized many children, and they will never be the same. Their families will never be the same. The plea deal tells people child pornography is OK. And it isn't. It's horrible. Many children who are victims of sexual crimes commit suicide, do drugs or victimize other children. That's how you know it is very wrong."
The letter continues by saying Fogle deserves to stay behind bars longer and there should be a stronger outlook on his sentence.
"Jared should be put away for a long time, he is a threat to society. If he hurt 10 children, and is given a small amount- say 5 years for each child- that equals 50 years."
Another person wrote in pointing out how people commit crimes that are less serious and receive harsher punishments than Fogle.
"There are too many sitting in prison for making a wrong choice," the letter reads. "This deal shows that some will see less or no prison time for more serious choices."
