It looks like Donald Trump might have another plan in the works in case he doesn't win the Republican ticket for next year's race to the White House. His daughter Ivanka Trump hinted that, in case his Presidential bid fizzles out, there's a good possibility the businessman could be running for mayor of New York City .

Talking to Page Sx on Tuesday, the former model fielded questions about the possibilty of a "Trump for NYC mayor campaign," should things not work in term of the 2016 presidential election.

Ivanka also added that even though he's made controversial remarks about illegal immigrants in the country while also making jabs at women like Rosie O'Donnell and his opponent Carly Fiorina, she's still standing by his side, no matter what he says.

The celebrity mother-of-two added, "I am incredibly proud of him . . . He's not a politician. He's, you know, the opposite of a politician. He's been a successful businessman and he had to sacrifice a lot to do this."

This isn't the first time Ivanka has gone on the record to defend her famous father, of course.

Speaking to Fortune Magazine back in October, Ivanka said, "Look, my father is very blunt. He's very direct. He is not gender specific in his criticism of people, and people that he doesn't particularly like or people that he does like but thinks they're wrong on a particular issue. So I don't think that he's gender-targeted at all. I wouldn't be the person I am today, I wouldn't be a high-level executive within his organization if he felt that way."
