Did Jennifer Aniston's husband, Justin Theroux, go down the politically incorrect route by making comments about 9/11? New rumors say the Hollywood actor's remarks might have been construed that way when he was overheard talking about the events surrounding the September 11, 2001 attacks during a recent party in New York City.

According to Page Six on Monday, Aniston's other half supposedly hinted that 9/11 was "the best thing to happen to New Yorkers" followed by a story about getting a good deal on cheap rent.

An eyewitness dished that Theroux "said at the end of the process, the landlord was so mad, they threw the keys at him."

Although that might not totally be the case; a rep for the proud New York City resident said that he was simply misunderstood. His rep clarified the comments he made by saying, "As a New Yorker and someone who has lived downtown for over 20 years, Justin would not make jest of 9/11."

In fact, Theroux's love for the city is pretty evident. The Leftovers star prefers spending more time on the East Coast than the West, as he is rarely seen out and about near the couple's lavish mansion in Beverly Hills.
