Worst Christmas Song Tournament 2015: From The Cheetah Girls’ ‘Cheetah-licious Christmas’ To Chipmunks’ ‘Christmas Don’t Be Late,’ Which Festive Tune Is Too Awful? [POLLS]
It's Christmastime so the Christmas tunes are definitely getting played 24/7, but there are some songs that are super annoying and downright awful! Like they are the absolute worst!
Throughout the years so many Christmas-themed songs have been recorded, whether they're originals or remakes.
That got us thinking about which one is the worst Christmas song. There are so many that come to mind, but we selected 16 that you can vote on.
Below we will kick off Round 1 of the Enstars Readers' Choice Worst Christmas Song Tournament 2015.
"8 Days of Christmas" - Destiny's Child vs. "Christmas Must Be Something More" - Taylor Swift
Destiny's Child will always be one of the greatest girl groups in more recent times, but this Christmas song was a flop. It was based on "Twelve Days of Christmas," but it's not that fabulous compared to what DC is generally capable of delivering.
We're going back to when Taylor Swift was a twang-y country/pop singer with her original composition of "Christmas Must Be Something More" from her 2007 holiday EP. It has a good message that Christmas is more about commemorating Jesus' birth than obtaining gifts and all the other showy parts of the holiday season celebration, but the sound is too twang-y.

"All I Want for Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth)" - Spike Jones & His City Slickers vs. "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" - Gayla Peevey
It's such a silly song about missing your two front teeth, but hearing it so frequently really grinds our gears. How about you?
Wanting a hippopotamus for Christmas is so strange, but that's not the worst part about this song. The girl's voice goes right through own heads. It's so annoying!

"My Girlfriend (Forgot Me This Christmas)" - The Click Five vs. "Cheetah-licious Christmas" - The Cheetah Girls
It's rather funny this band has a song listing all the things they got for Christmas, but they're so upset about their girlfriends forgetting about them. They also list off every single thing they got the girls. Is all of this whining necessary? We guess so since it's a catchy song, but it's not meant to be played on loop. It'll surely annoy you.
Disney formed girl group The Cheetah Girls and between the Disney Channel movies, tours, clothing line and everything else you can think of, they reached a high degree of success, but this Christmas song was a low point. It's cutesy, but annoying.

"I Really Don't Hate Christmas" - Dr. Doofenshmirtz (Phineas and Ferb) vs. "The Christmas Shoes" - NewSong
Disney Channel really didn't need to make some ridiculous song for the villainous character on Phineas and Ferb. Just no!
The villain from Phineas and Ferb should destroy this song. It's that bad. It's heartfelt and sad, but honestly so very annoying and not what Christmas is about: cheeriness and jolliness. Save sad songs for some other time, please.

"Mistletoe and Wine" - Cliff Richard vs. "Stay Another Day" - East 17
Cliff Richard changed up the lyrics to make the song more religious before recording it. Perhaps it's too religious now though and too chant-y during the chorus.
Like "The Christmas Shoes" this song is downright sad, but at least the music video has snow in it so it signifies wintertime and the holiday season.

"Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" - Elmo & Patsy vs. "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" - Jimmy Boyd
This tune is offensive. The story in the lyrics is grandma drank too much and got run over since she went outside and then grandpa didn't mourn her loss. It's popular, getting played all the time, which probably says a lot about people who love it.
It's just one of those irritating songs that you cannot bear to hear again, right? Plus, the young boy singing was only 13 at the time of the recording so his voice isn't fully developed yet.

"The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)" - Alvin and The Chipmunks vs. "Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey" - Lou Monte
These rodents are adorable, but the repetitive nature of their festive tune is maddening. Do you agree? This tune is even more aggravating! All the "La-la-la" and donkey sound effects are too much after a few listens. Which Christmas song is worse?

"Wonderful Christmastime" - Paul McCartney vs. "Do They Know It's Christmas?" - Band Aid
We love Paul McCartney, but this song has a chanting of "Simply having a wonderful Christmastime," which is unnerving.
In 1984 this song was written and recorded in reaction to the famine affecting Ethiopia with the proceeds going to charity. It's a great tune, but very much overplayed these days.
