The fall finale of season 7 of The Good Wife was about big revelations and confessions, and that is definitely going to change the dynamics of the relationships on the legal drama going forward.

Could Hillary Clinton Guest Star In An Upcoming Episode?

The return date for the rest of the chapter has been revealed, it's only a wait until January 10.

The highlight of the finale, titled 'KSR,' was Eli's (Alan Cumming) big confession and apology to Alicia (Julianna Margulies) about deleting a voice mail from Will (Josh Charles) where he says "let's call the whole thing off" but adds that he loves her. The episode was also about heartbreak for Eli who was given the snub by Courtney (Vanessa Williams), which seems to bring a sea change in his emotional outlook.

Chances Of CBS Legal Drama's Renewal Look Slim

The winter finale also fuelled the speculation about Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) exiting the show. Although, he tells Alicia he will be only gone for a couple of months, we worry that might mean for good. The two also shared a bittersweet goodbye in the finale. Considering Morgan has also signed on for a meaty part as baddie Negan on The Walking Dead, the chances of him sticking on The Good Wife are further weakened.

'KSR' aired on December 13.
