The gorgeous daughter of famous Venezuelan singer Jose Luis Rodriguez a.k.a. "El Puma," Genesis Rodriquez made her film debut with the movie "Man on a ledge," starring as Angie.

Genesis, 24, is currently working on the film "House of my father" with actor Will Ferrell and on "What to Expect When You're Expecting" with Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez.

"It's the first time I participate in a film of this nature. I did other projects such as soap operas in Spanish, but an action movie in English is something completely different. It was very exciting because I got to shoot many scenes in the limit and my character is very attractive," said Rodriquez, according to Hola Magazine.

"Man on a Ledge" will be released on January 27 in the United States. It's main plot: "A police psychologist works to talk down an ex-con who is threatening to jump from a Manhattan hotel rooftop and gets in motion the biggest diamond heist ever committed, " according to the Internet Movie Data Base.

Genesis previously acted in soap operas such as "Days of our lives," and Telemundo's series "Prisionera" (Prisoner) and "Dame chocolate" (Give me Chocolate).

Genesis' father José Luis Rodríguez "El Puma" recorded "Dueño de nada, Pavo real " and many international hits throughout his acting and singing career.
