Putting an end to all the rumors and speculation, HTC finally announced the HTC One X9 in China. The phone boasts some impressive features that could give rival smartphone manufacturers some fair competition. As 9to5Google reports, this wasn't much of a surprise since a bulk of the new phone's hardware specs and features were leaked ahead of its official launch.

Borrowing from the existing HTC One A9 smartphone, the HTC One X9 release has a premium smooth to-the-touch all-metal unibody build. We already got a sneak preview of the device in action thanks to a leaked video that surfaced online weeks ago. Supporting most of the previously rumored specs, HTC now confirms that the One X9 features a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display and front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Surround Sound. Powering the phone's computing tasks is a 64-bit MediaTek octa-core Helio X10 processor alongside 3GB of RAM for efficient multitasking. The HTC One X9's 32GB of built-in storage space is expandable to up to a whopping 2TB via an integrated microSD card slot.

The device sports a 5MP front-facing camera for snapping quick selfies and enaging in video chat apps such as Skype. You'll always be ready to take blur-free pictures on the fly with the 13MP rear camera packed with optical image stabilization. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity lets you access the Web through wireless hotspots or connect Bluetooth compatible headsets for cord-free music playback when you're on-the-go. The powerful high-end HTC One X9 phone runs on Google's Android 6.0 with HTC's Sense UI 7.0 launcher and keeping the lights on is a 3000mAh high capacity non-removable battery. While it's unknown at this time if the HTC One X9 will land on the U.S. market, the phone comes with a 2399 Yuan price tag in China or approximately $370 USD.
