Actor John Cho and his wife Kerri Higuchi welcomed a baby girl into the world.

A representative for the 40-year-old actor confirmed the birth news on Monday, but did not release the baby's name, according to Us Weekly.

This means Cho is now a father of two as he also has a 4-year-old boy with his wife of seven years.

The South Korean-born actor will have to adjust the balance of his home and work life as he constantly finds ways to stay busy in Hollywood.

Cho started acting after he graduated from UC Berkeley and moved to Los Angeles where he spent time with the Asian American theater group East West Players, according to The Daily Mail.

He started his rise to fame in the American Pie films but is best known as one of the titular characters in the Harold & Kumar series alongside actor Kal Penn.

The actor also starred in last fall's remake of Total Recall and recently had a guest spot on Parks and Recreation.

Cho currently plays Matthew Perry's best friend and boss on the NBC comedy Go On. He can also currently be seen on the big screen alongside Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy in the film Identity Thief.

Star Trek fans are eagerly waiting for Cho to reprise his role as Hikaru Sulu in the upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness. The latest film by director J. J. Abrams will hit theaters on May 17.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, Cho said that getting into the character of Sulu was more important that doing the action scenes for the sci-fi blockbuster.

"Without the character stuff, all those dangerous sequences kind of are meaningless. The thrill of it is saying, 'I know those guys and it's those guys in that situation,'" Cho said.

His wife Higuchi is also an actor that has appeared in films such as Sorority Boys and Enough as well as the television series Greys Anatomy and Flash Forward.
