Ben Affleck Talks 'Consequences Of Violence' As Major Theme Of 'Batman v Superman'

Snyder spoke with Obsev about the "fun" of Batman v Superman being in the drama of it all:

Ben Affleck Talks Fears Of 'Batman v Superman' Being 'Extremely Disappointing'

The trailers for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have suggested a dark tone much like its 2013 predecessor, Man of Steel. However, there does look to be a more lighthearted element to the film which is Jesse Eisenberg's flamboyant portrayal of Lex Luthor, Jr.

Eisenberg's over-the-top performance as seen in the trailer has been very polarizing to fans. Some think he took too many cues from The Joker in his portrayal, and others think he looks "awkward" and "terrible" in the film. As for how the performance will work in the context of the film remains to be seen--it's possible he could still become one of the highlights of the blockbuster.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice also stars Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
