Rapper 2 Chainz was arrested in Maryland on Thursday for weed possession after he was pulled over for speeding, according to The Baltimore Sun.

The I’m Different rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, tweeted about the arrest and posted a photo of him posing with two police officers after he was processed.

“Locked me up and then wanted a photo smh”, the caption of his photo read.

In the photo, the two Baltimore police officers smile as they pose for a fan-like picture with the arrested rapper.

According to police, 2 Chainz was riding in a white Ford van at 79 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone when he was pulled over. When the police approached the vehicle they were immediately struck with the smell of marijuana coming from the van.

After conducting a search of the vehicle police recovered a backpack containing a grinder and traces of marijuana.

Chainz, 35, took ownership of the backpack and its contents, which led to his arrest. He was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He could face up to a year in jail and a fine of $1,000.

Upset about the ordeal, the rapper continued to tweet about the incident.

“I work hard and pray even harder, we gone always be good yall….,” he wrote. “Not to mention my security said was his and they said, he don’t smoke, how… u know? Haha wut a valentine’s day!!!”

The Georgia native previously known as “Tity Boi” is currently on tour promoting his freshman effort, Based on a T.R.U. Story. The rapper is signed under Kanye West’s GOOD Music label, part of Def Jam records.

After he was released, 2 Chainz went on to complete his show at the University of Maryland Eastern Show for an audience of college students. He was nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 10.
