Twilight costars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart took home the award for Best On-Screen Kiss at the Empire Cinemas Alternative Movie Awards voted by fans.

They were also voted Best On-Screen Couple and the final installment of the Twilight franchise, Breaking Dawn - Part 2, took home a total of five awards.

The nod comes at a time when Pattinson, 26, and Stewart, 23, are reportedly getting ready to announce their split. After promo for the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 DVD is over, the couple will announce their breakup. Pattinson and Stewart had to pretend they are still going strong at the request of Summit Pictures, the movie company behind the Twilight films, according to a source. They had to maintain the image that all is well between them so that their breakup will not affect DVD sales.

"Rob & Kristen were asked not to announce a break-up or any relationship trouble until the DVD has been out for a few weeks and everything has sold," the insider said. "Since the first couple weeks are the times when the DVD will sell like wildfire. The more DVD's sold, the more money for them. So they are abiding by the request."

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 was released on DVD March 2.

The couple split briefly in 2012 after it was revealed that Stewart had an affair with the director of her film Snow White and the Huntsman, Rupert Sanders. Pattinson and Stewart reconciled but Sanders' wife, Liberty Ross, filed for divorce in January. Sources said the director recently tired to rekindle his romance with Stewart but that she is ignoring his advances. He texted her "a number of times," a source told Perez Hilton, but Stewart regrets ever getting involved with Sanders and as far as any hopes of a reconciliation: "that ship has sailed."

Pattinson is currently in Australia filming The Rover.
