Selena Gomez Ignores Justin Bieber on His 'Worst Birthday' After he Texts her While 'Depressed'
Selena Gomez reportedly ignored text messages by Justin Bieber when he tried to get in touch with his ex-girlfriend and vent about how disastrous his birthday went.
Bieber's London party at Clirque Du Soir on March 1 in celebration of him turning 19 was shut down by security at the venue because of underage guests in attendance at the club. The party reportedly had a circus theme and earlier in the day Bieber tweeted his excitement about celebrating his birthday that night: "Gonna be fun tonight. Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes. 19! Big night ahead."
However, when the night ended badly he tweeted "worst birthday" and a source said he tried to make contact with Gomez but that she did not want to talk with him.
"Justin texted Selena about how depressed he was about his birthday party being a disaster, but she just ignored him," the insider told Hollywood Life. "She's been laughing about his ridiculous outfits and thinks he's just being needy. She's moving on and having fun with all of her friends and family - she doesn't have time for him."
Soon after his breakup with Gomez, Bieber sat down with Billboard magazine for an interview. He admitted in the January discussion that he was "not in the happiest place" following the split. That same month Gomez headlined a UNICEF charity concert and told the audience before singing a rendition od Justin Timberlake's Cry Me a River, "I've been through a lot the last couple of months. It's been sad and cool, but interesting. This song definitely speaks to me."
Bieber faced the wrath of many concertgoers and their parents for starting his Monday show in London's O2 Arena two hours late. He apologized for the delay and blamed technical issues but BBC News reported that parents who arrived at the arena expecting to pick up their children were furious to see it happened to be the same time the singer finally got on stage. Some fans booed for an hour before Bieber began the show for being treated to a string of Michael Jackson songs and no explanation for the late start.
