Rumors flew that they could possibly be engaged after Cara Delevingne reportedly was spotted getting down on one knee and proposing to St. Vincent at the Eiffel Tower, but it's looking more and more as though the couple may have split just before Valentine's Day.

Several reports claimed the pair were now engaged, but Delevingne has reportedly since been spotted out several times without her girlfriend in tow-and has been touted off as being moody and less interested in having her picture taken by paps than ever before.

According to the Daily Mail, she instructed her handlers and bodyguards to shield her from paps during outings in both Paris and London earlier this week.

"She was acting very oddly and shouted at her entourage to keep her covered," sources told the publication. "She has not been seen with St. Vincent in days and seemed in a foul mood."

She has also posted some cryptic sounding messages on her Instagram the last few days as well, with hints that she is overthinking things in one post.

"Me yesterday, today and probably tomorrow," she captioned the shot.

This all comes at the same time that a source told The Sun that Delevingne and St. Vincent actually have a volatile relationship, and that there's never really a way of telling if the two are genuinely happy or if they're ready to throw in the towel on their romance.

"You never know what is going on with Cara and Annie. Their relationship id so volatile that it gives you that uncomfortable feeling," the source said. "They have already broken up once and have had a few other uneasy moments along the way."

"We never know if they are going to be together one day or the next, so who knows if this engagement is the real deal or if it will last forever," she said. "They are obviously madly in love, but they could turn around tomorrow and say they are splitting for good."
