After it was reported that the singer's wife, Behati Prinsloo, is pregnant with the couple's first baby, there's a rumor claiming that one of Levine's co-workers from The Voice is planning to be the godfather.

According to Monday's report from Hollywood Life, country superstar Blake Shelton might be in line for that role.

"Blake has already volunteered to be the godfather, so he can show their little one the ropes," a source said.

It was also mentioned that Shelton might be planning an event for Levine and Prinsloo's baby. And singer Gwen Stefani is reportedly going to help.

"Blake said he wants to throw a baby shower with Gwen," the source revealed. "He was half-joking, but he seems like he wants to be involved and be there for Adam, all jokes aside."

Meanwhile, it's been speculated that Levine might be signing off from The Voice so he can concentrate on his career and family, according to OK! Magazine. Apparently, he's reached the point where his music, wife and child come first.

"Adam really wants to leave on a high note," an insider said. "He doesn't want to see the show jump the shark. He's totally open to coming back in the future as a mentor, but deep down he knows it's the right time to say goodbye."
