Rapper Kanye West has made plenty of headlines because of his bizarre behavior and outlandish comments, but recent news that he and Kim Kardashian may name their baby North is sure to make waves.

According to reports, West is seriously considering naming the baby "North West" and is indeed aware of how strange it is. A source relayed some information regarding the baby naming process to The Sun.

"Kanye's ego is something else, so he's quite serious about the title. He also has a sense of humor though and knows how his self-indulgence is seen by the general public. It's half tongue-in-cheek, half what Kanye probably feels is true."

Naming the baby North could cause a rift within the Kardashian family due to the "tradition" of gracing new members of the family with names that start with the letter K. Kendall Jenner, the half-sister of Kim said to E! News in February that "I think it would be cute. It's a tradition". Kendall's sister Kylie disagreed, according to the report, and said the it's time for the tradition to "retire."

At the time of this interview, it was reported that West and Kim Kardashian had been arguing about possible baby names and that she told West "she will always be a Kardashian." The same source also said Kardashian was using her stance as a way to show West that she's not involved with him because of his money.

In more West news, Allhiphop.com's Illseed is reporting that Kanye is planning to name his next album "I Am God." Malik Yusef, whom West has worked with in the past, released a precious few details to Hitfix about the rapper's next work.

"I can't talk too much about it. Just remember black music, the black experience. It's a throwback to that era. A distillation of what's happening in the modern world."
