Corey and Miranda Simms spent Easter weekend with family.

As Corey and his ex-wife, Leah Messer, remain at odds on Teen Mom 2, he and Miranda joined his family, including his dad, Jeff, for family time with his kids, including their new baby girl, Remington Monroe Simms.

Weeks ago, a source claimed fans wouldn't be seeing as much of Corey and Miranda as they did last year due to the unfavorable persona last year. Although Corey expressed concern for his children amid rumors of his ex-wife's pill addiction, and later received primary custody of their twins, many fans have been unhappy with him because of what was seen on the show. In fact, many blame him and Miranda for Messer's struggles, and in response, the couple opted to take a step back from their roles on the MTV reality show.

“He thinks they had the perfect opportunity to show viewers, ‘This is what happens when you get on drugs, this is the reality.’ Instead, they made it seem like Corey was constantly attacking Leah for no reason,” a source told Radar Online earlier this month.

During Teen Mom 2 season six, Messer was seen slurring her words and nodding off after she held her infant niece, but rather than share details of Messer's alleged drug addiction (her ex-husband Jeremy Calvert noted a prescription pill problem), MTV chronicled what she alleged were issues with anxiety and depression.

“Corey told MTV just what he thought about the situation, and said that he and Miranda would not film nearly as much as in past seasons,” a friend explained. “Producers understood.”
