Simon Boswell, played by Lucas Black, is rumoured to return for Fast and Furious 8.

According to new reports, Boswell might very well be back, and there is some weak evidence to prove the point.

The IMDB page for the movie has listed Black as a cast member. Christian Today reported that Black might return for a cameo in the film. But the speculation can go as far as him playing an important role, and joining Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) team, which has a gaping void after Paul Walker's death. Walker played one of the main roles, by Diesel's side as Brian O'Connor.

The actor did have a cameo in Furious 7, and earlier this year, in a round up about speculation surrounding the movie, a Digital Spy UK report revealed that Black had signed up for three movies while signing on for Furious 7 so his return in Fast and Furious 8 seems highly likely.

Bringing characters back from the older films is one of the major draws of the Fast and Furious series and another rumor of a similar nature going strong has to do with the return of Eva Mendes as Agent Fuentes.

Reports reveal suggested that Mendes, who played the part of Fuentes in 2 Fast 2 Furious, is actually in talks with the producers for starring the next installment. The actress will most likely be joining Toretto and Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) to tackle a new villain in New York.

We Got This Covered also had information from an anonymous source that Mendes is actually having discussions about coming on board.

Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.
