Loyalists of the Star Wars franchise have reportedly grown increasingly frustrated with actor Harrison Ford's status, as he continues to leave the world in the dark in terms of whether he'll reprise his original role as Hans Solo

According to Sky, Ford, 70, played it aloof when he was recently queried about his feelings over the franchise's upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII project.

"I don't feel anything at the moment yet," he said.

Despite not addressing the SWE7 rumors, Ford had no qualms about acknowledging his admiration for creative genius, JJ Abrams, who will coincidentally be swapping Star Trek for Star Wars so that he can direct the first of what should be more franchise movies to come.

"I think he's fantastic. I did his first movie. Regarding Henry, with Mike Nichols. A wonderful talent. Extraordinary guy," said Ford.

Abrams had penned the script for the early Ford movie, in which he played a lawyer that survives a shooting. Nichols was the director and a co-producer.

Earlier in March, Star Wars creator George Lucas had previously unveiled to Bloomberg Business Week that three members of the original cast, which were Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, were in talks to return even prior to Lucasfilm being sold off to Disney in October 2012.

"We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison - or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation. So I called them to say, 'Look, this is what's going on,'" Lucas said. "Maybe I'm not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them."

He added, "I won't say whether the negotiations were successful or not."

While Fisher did acknowledge that she's be making a comeback as Princess Leia, Ford was characteristically mum on the subject.

Ford gave the following response when he was asked whether he would be returning to his Hans Solo role:

"Um, I don't even want to discuss that. It's great. Ain't it great?"
