Legendary pop icon and film star Cher is asking $41 million for her Malibu mansion, which is the third Los Angeles property the star has either sold or put on the market this week.

The "Believe" singer's 13,126-square-foot Italian Renaissance-style mansion, photos available at Architectural Digest, boasts stone walls and floors, a stamped-copper dining-room ceiling and six bedrooms. The 1.7-acre compound is nestled off the Pacific Coast Highway and was originally listed for $45M in 2008.

The monstrous abode, created by designer Ron Wilson, was described by Cher as "my sanctuary, my fortress, really the only place I have any privacy," in a 2002 Arch Digest feature. "I'm comfortable here. This house wraps its arms around me," the singer continued.

The home includes an infinity-edge pool, which appears to overflow into the Pacific Ocean, standing bronze oil lamps beneath arches that are supported by vine-decorated columns as well as a dining room adorned with English bronze chandeliers which hang from a stamped-copper ceiling.

In the living room, all of the art that hangs in the living room "was of special interest to Cher," designer Ron Wilson told Architectural Digest. "She was responsible for purchasing most of it herself."

Although the home obviously has sentimental value to Cher, the singer's Malibu home is the third property which she has either listed or sold in the last three days.

This week she listed a modern residence in Venice Beach for $1.89 million, which real estate experts consider a modest price tag in comparison to the pop star's fortune which is estimated at about $300 million. The custom-built home was finished in 2008 when Cher quickly purchased it for $1.5 million.

On March 25, Cher sold her luxury 4,000 square-foot Los Angeles condo which has jetliner views of the City of Angels for $5.25 million. She purchased the condo in 2006 for $4.5 million and originally listed the property for $5.5 million so she made out well considering the drop in property values following the economic recession. Courtney Cox and Elton John were among her neighbors at the West Hollywood condo.
