Dwayne Johnson is psyched about Charlize Theron coming on board Fast and Furious 8.

The actor, who will be reprising his role as Hobbs in the eighth installment, welcomed Theron, who was recently announced as joining Fast and Furious 8 in a villainous role, posted an image with the actress on Instagram and a sweet caption to go with it.

While expressing his excitement at Theron joining the crew, he also revealed Theron's response about joining the Furious franchise in a recent interview with MTV. "I'm coming to mess that shit up," she said.

In other big casting news for the movie, Scott Eastwood is also joining the movie as Mr. Nobody's (Kurt Russell) protege.

In related news, it was also announced that Game of Thrones' Kristofer Hivju is set to star as the lead antagonist in the Furious 7 sequel. According to a report by The Wrap, Hivju will be playing the part of the leader of the villains in the movie. So that would mean Theron's character might be linked to him or working for him.

Theron's addition to Fast and Furious 8 could make things very exciting, especially given Theron's record playing gritty roles, most recently blowing audiences minds away as Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road. She has also played the steely villainous part in Snowhite and the Huntsman as Queen Ravenna.

Recently, even Eastwood took to Instagram to share his excitement about joining the series while honoring the memory of Paul Walker:

"It's hard to put into words how excited I am for the next Fast & Furious. To me, the series is so much more than just a franchise. It's a legacy. These great actors who have been in it together for so long have become a family. I absolutely can't wait to join it. Now I can't say too much, but I get to play a new character who operates under Kurt Russell in the movie, which is incredible, because Kurt was a total childhood hero of mine growing up. Very much looking forward to learning a thing or two from such an original and cool guy. Paul was a close friend of mine. We surfed together, traveled together, and he was a huge role model and influencing figure in my life when I was younger. He still is. He was an older brother to me. For me to be able to add to the F&F story, Paul's story, and the FAST family is like a dream come true. Gary Gray and Neal Moritz - I can't wait to get started and dive in. Vin - thank you for the support and the insight. Paul - I am going to make you proud."

Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.

Furious 7 opened in theaters on April 3, 2015.
