Heidi Montag says she's not the same girl that everyone remembers from her old school reality days.

In an interview with Bustle on Wednesday, Montag, who starred in MTV series The Hills, dished on how she's developed a thick skin since all her drama from before.

"I think I've changed a lot," she said. "I think I'm a lot stronger of a person than I was on The Hills."

Some issues that Montag faced included the falling out of her friendship with Lauren Conrad and her tense relationship with her mother following her plastic surgery. All of this turned Montag into the woman she is today where she's not afraid to simply be herself.

"I think I've been through a lot both on and off camera," she said. "I'm a little bit together. Also, I'm more true to myself and I'm not afraid to be who I am. I just enjoy my life and not apologize for it. I think that I've become stronger within myself and have more forgiveness and more love towards myself, which is important and not other things, like fame or money or success. I really concentrate on my values and my family and prioritize that."

Montag has been married to her husband, Spencer Pratt, for almost seven years now. As for how that's going, the reality star mentioned that she's just doing a lot of basic things.

"I'm just kind of a housewife," she said. "I have a lot of dishes to do, a lot of laundry, a lot of chores that I do."

Montag is currently on the Lifetime series The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition with her mom, Darlene Egelhoff, as they work through their struggling relationship. The show airs on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET.
