There might be one very good reason why Khloe Kardashian is refusing to finalize her divorce to her ex Lamar Odom these days. And it's not because she loves him and still has feelings for him, but simply because she's scared that he might relapse and find his way into another brothel again if she officially lets him go.

According to Hollywood Life on Tuesday, even though Kardashian and Odom initially separated back in December of 2013, they haven't had their divorced finalized yet because of a backlog of paperwork in the Los Angeles court system. Now, sources that Kardashian is afraid to pull the trigger on the paperwork again, because she's scared Odom might turn into a wreck the moment she does.

One source told the site, "Khloe will officially divorce Lamar at some point, but she's not overly anxious to do so. They can stay married on paper but the fact is her heart's not in it. She's not about to run off and remarry, so there's really no rush for her waste her time and money to start the process all over again."

The insider added, "Truth be told, pulling the plug again would cripple Lamar and she knows it. She doesn't want to be the spark that sets his life on fire. She just wants him to get his life together, for himself."

So far Kardashian herself hasn't made any comments about the divorce proceedings, although she's been spotted with her ex several times in the last few weeks. She's remained by his side ever since he almost died during a three-day drug binge at a Nevada brothel back in October.
