Justin Bieber Pet Monkey Quarantined By German Customs During Believe Tour [PHOTOS]
Justin Bieber landing in Munich, Germany, on March 28 as part of his Believe tour but the 19-year-old pop singer was forced to leave his pet capuchin monkey in quarantine after he failed to provide the necessary paperwork to customs agents for the animal, according to The Associated Press.
The Boyfriend singer had to leave the animal, named Mally, at the airport while he was in the country and he may face a $15,000 fine. Bieber broke strict health laws by flying in Mally on his private jet.
A customs official spoke to The Sun and explained the situation, saying, "You cannot just land with a wild animal and bring it into the country if the flight has not originated from another EU country and you don't have the proper paperwork."
The animal "required a certificate of health and other authorizations."
Customs spokesman Thomas Meister confirmed the incident, according to Us Weekly. The singer and his party have not addressed the incident and the Canadian only talked about his concert on Twitter.
"Munich was a good time. And loud. The bus is headed to Vienna now. U coming?" he tweeted on March 28, as he made his way to Austria by bus.
Mally was reportedly a 19th birthday gift for Bieber from his friend Jamal Rashid, a music producer also known as Mally Mall. Bieber continuously posts photos of himself with Mally on his Instagram account. He most recent one, posted on March 30, was captioned "Kickin it with og."
Bieber has other pets as well and his hamster died early in March.
Before leaving the United States to resume the European leg of his world tour, Bieber reunited with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez as he was spotted entering her Los Angeles home. The couple broke up in November of 2012.
